Crabs at 90 degrees

After a drop off at SFO, I ran along the Bay trail where I saw a sign about a tortoise that had gotten loose twice. At this point, I think the tortoise wants to be free.
Did yell at my GPS watch for being not correct.

I had won a raffle at some point so I showed up the Daly City library and asked the staff.
They thought I was being rused but luckily the person showed up to give me my cave prize (garden tools) It was 60 degrees.
Drove 45 miles South where my first stop was Fry's and wow, that store is full of dumb dumbs.
I asked the so and so about the location of the VOIP headsets. He claimed they did not carry it. I then pointed out the fact that indeed they had the item in question. He then insisted that he mark the item so he could get credit.
Next went to Sports Basement where my paper bag broke and I yelled at the bag which marked the 2nd Inanimate item I yelled at. Ended up getting spin shoes.
Had blue crabs for the 1st time in 2013. To make the experience more authentic, It was about 90 degrees and I was right in the afternoon sun.

When the mundane becomes exciting

I am glad I do not work at a Gas Station.
Boredom is mixed in with annoyed customers interrupted by the possibility of disaster or robbery.

I knew that my propane had run out so I needed to exchange tanks so that I could grill.
For the most part, this would be an annoying dull experience but today was different.

It seemed a guy in a white van got into an argument with a guy with gold teeth with the smallest scooter I have ever seen.
They were shouting things at each other. I am not quite sure why they were arguing but something about being too old to being on that size of scooter.
The gentleman in the van pulled out of the active area of the gas station. Got out of his van to continue the rather antimated discussion with the gentleman with the gold teeth and the tiny scooter.
While this was going on I was giving my credit card to the cashier so I can exchange my propane container. He was unmoved to the excitement and continued my transaction.
The two gentlemen escalated their conversation into a wrestling match with a few punches. The guy in the van threw the guy from the tiny scooter and the gold teeth onto the hood of another patrons car. This patron expressed concern over this.
Based on my interest in boxing, if the two of them would have turned to me and asked for my opinion to "score" the fight I would awarded the victory to the guy in the van.
When the guy went back into his van the guy with the gold teeth and tiny scooter pulled out an iPhone to take pictures of the guy that he had the altercation with and shouted things to the van as it pulled away.
I got my canister of propane and was on my way.

No one but myself to blame...

Lately I have been feeling stiff/sore/tight and I saw that my current pair of running shoes has over 423 miles which is silly.
Need to be more proactive about replacing the shoes before they start undermining me.
Will be demoting/donating and starting to use the new pair...

On another note, I found a dollar near a car and I put it on the windshield. Hopefully it made their day.

Old School 4th

Heather and I made our way down the coast for an 8 mile run.
We saw a Corgi who could stand to lose a bit of weight. They are good dogs, shed a lot but good dogs. If dogs had their druthers, they would all day and all of the night.
Had coffee in Half Moon Bay. I like places that have self serve water. I do not like hassling people for malinkey.
Half Moon Bay had one of those old school parades. I think they allowed the whole phone book. Horses were cool. One fell down but I am not sure if they liked the barking. Everyone had flags. Turned out someone was giving them out. Did not check but I am sure they were made in China.
Had lunch before the bum rush.
As soon as the parade was over, everyone went away, to the beach, to feed their corgis.
Did a little wine tasting. Nice day...

Planks

Sunday dinner was a mix of both success and failure but happily the success out weighed the rather comical failure.
I had some success a few weeks ago with the grilling of Zucchini.
Covered it with some olive oil and sea salt. Fantastic.

Went for a repeat of it. Sadly I do not understand Chinese characters and cucumbers and zucchini are not the same thing and grilled cucumbers were not a huge hit.
Happily the grilled copper river salmon on cedar blanks more than made up for it.

The mashed cauliflower was OK. I am aware of my tendency to have a bit of a heavy hand in regards to spice and so I made a point to be reasonable. This led to it being a bit bland. Next time, a little more spice.
