Dinner issues

After running, I decided to have dinner somewhere in Daly City.
Went to Groupon and check out their Groupon Now! Deals. Found a place called Al Fin. I really should have read the Yelp reviews.
Turns out they have some weird policy about Groupons. I understand not wanting all coupon customers but if you do not want people to use, then do not do it.

I am well aware that if you do not use a Now Deals Groupon that it is refunded. Wanted to make you all aware of an interesting policy by Al Fin.
They have a sign that says, "We only honor three Groupons per day". I had read this in the Yelp reviews so I was expecting a hassle.

Then walked past a Mexican place where a guy was stumbling over. Not sure what the issue was and they did not need my help but figured I would eat elsewhere.
Ended up cleaning the table and some random thought I was cleaning the table so I yelled at him.

Frugal but not cheap

Recently I had two lessons that could be filed under the you get what you pay for category. One was a spatula and the other was a razor.
Needed another spatula as I have been doing more cooking so I went to Target and as they all looked alike so I chose the cheapest because how could a spatula suck. Well the one I got could barely flip two fried eggs. So not worth the space.
Then came the knockoff razors that were compatible with the Mach 3. It was like shaving with a credit card.

Got me thinking of times that going cheap does not have a great return on investment.

Disappointing Deep Dish

Was in Chicago for a meeting. Looking back on the events of the day, I should have asked for help in regards locating a decent slice of Chicago style pizza.
Not every day can be an episode of the food show that goes in my head.
I was limited to walking distance from my hotel (the hotel was nice) and my lack of knowledge.
Went to a place called Connies and wow, the service was bad. Asked questions about the beer and was told, I don't know, I am not 21.
When my pizza arrived (which would have not been out of place at a Pizza Hut in a Target) had to ask for napkins and fork.

Glad I upgraded to the Select seats on the flight back to San Francisco.
