Jerk of Sandwich

I would like to apologize to Safeway as I made an error and an invalid complaint.
After doing some work downtown (hustle and bustle!!) and giving the Marcusmobile a rest, taking the Crown Colony Shuttle to the Colma BART I went to Safeway to get a sandwich that was on special.
It was a good sandwich especially that it was half off.
Anyway I go to pay and it was full price so I complained to the clerk who told me to go to customer service who told me they could not give me the $2. So when I got home I complained (it is the principal of the thing...)
They gave me $5.
Well it turned out that I had not loaded the coupon so it was user error on my part.

Thoughts about two years ago..

Was thinking back to April 19th, 2009 which was the last day I spent with my Mom.
They asked if I wanted to go to physical therapy and to see her take those steps and move the bike at that point was greater than that video of someone dunking over a car or some such nonsense.
My last memory was a good one.

Thought about that when I ran. Started with the group but then went a different way to Hopper's hands.
Running acts as a reset button.

How do the stores on Sesame Street stay in business

It seems that Sesame Street is a mixed residential area. I am wondering how the stores stay in business especially because I can never remember when Cookie Monster ever paid for a cookie. Do they run a tab and settle up? Or are the prices subsidised by the people for the Monsters/puppets? I wonder if it is located near a UFO crash.

Last night proved Albert Einstein's quote

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity."

when going to two different things. I am not a fan of the financial district between 5 and 7 when all of the hustles and bustle crowd are riding the end of their respective dinosaurs.
After a networking event I walked past 111 Minna and I saw that the fine people at the Colt 45 company was bringing back their "Works Every Time" slogan.

Drove across town to the Academy of Science. I was a member when it first opened but as I have to pay for Grown Folks night, I decided to not renew. I am not going to go during the day because of screaming school children, instead of screaming drunks at the night time thing.

Going back to Wednesday kickball was all good with a couple of dramatic plays include learning about advances in Doctor glue.

On the subject of running. The most I have ever run in a week was 34.21. Right now I am at 30.16 for the week with a long run (of at least 11 miles) tomorrow.

USHalf and Chewbacca

I ran the USHalf this morning and the weather was perfect like the last bowl of oatmeal. It was not rainy or too hot.
Was happy with my time (which was the same as the time I ran in 2008) and at the end I got a medal.
One of the things I have been discussing for a while is the need to donate my medals to

Whenever I get a medal it makes me think of how Chewbacca was screwed over at the end of Star Wars Episode IV, a new hope.

Food Trucks, Ketchup Ice Cream, indulgences, going green,

I am all for making real changes that may help the environment on a large and small scale but I think nonsense "going green" steps is akin to the indulgences during the middle ages.
Tomorrow I am running the USHalf and they are tooting their horn about going carbon neutral but they required everyone to drive into the city on a 2nd trip to pick up their race number.
Perhaps I should nail some things to walls.

In the last few weeks I have enjoyed going to Off the Grid. I decided it would be a good idea to have my own food truck where I make some oddball food creation like ketchup ice cream sundaes. I would pay my hip (not hipster) friends to queue up and buy up my supplies and then take to Twitter/Yelp and anywhere else where inane opinions are shared to declare how ice cream with ketchup from the truck is the way to happiness.
Someone then made the weird idea of making food that was actually edible (my friends have well really strange ideas)

If I was on iron chef I would hope it would be shrimp, old bay and olive oil.

Was in a sandstorm at the beach looking for my droogs. Thought it was like Episode IV except for the small detail of the ocean.

Frustrating Day but ended well

First off, a shout out to Guy Johnson for recommending Roberta Flack's song, Go Up Moses.
Download the song. It is good. trust me.

It was a frustrating day but they are days when you land on the moon and then they are days where things are sorted out. You take different approaches.
One of the benefits of doing a number of things, then you see patterns and realize any situation, good or bad is not the dictated course of action. Think back to working at one of the most miserable movie theaters in existence

Ended up being a solid day with a good kickball victory (for the 2nd victory in kickball this week). That with the run, put me in a far better mood.

11 mile run and an explanation of the dirt (gross)

I hate wearing white. I wish I could wear white like John Lennon but I can be clumsy so I rarely do.

Was going to run 11 miles over the Golden Gate Bridge and as it was warmer than normal I wore a white running shirt.
When you are running for a while, issues can arise, I mentioned this to Andrea and she reminded me of the fun run episode of the office.
This is a fairly common issue.

I was on the Marina Green and I saw that my white shirt was well not so white. Normally I have a clean, dry shirt in the Marcusmobile but forgot to put one in the car. My running group has quite a few attractive females, not being gross is a good thing. My plan of action was to take off my shirt and threw it in the dirt so the dirt masked the result of the chaffing.

Figured I would tell anyone that I had fallen but it look like I fell off a cliff. Luckily we got our shirts for the training session.

This should be a commercial for bandaids (which would have resolved the issue)

Food Trucks

Is it just me or is everything better from a truck? Back in the day, ice cream from the truck was way better. You never knew when the Ice Cream man truck was near.

When I moved to the Bay Area I invented the concept of the taco truck and shared it with many people. (I cannot implement all of my inventions as it would be too difficult)
Then I decided that other cuisines should be served out of a truck. They honored me with the creation of an event called, Off the grid, where the food trucks go to a parking lot and they play the music from farmers market (another idea I came up with)
