Random Sunday Moonrise Kingdom

It was a random Sunday as I had nowhere really to go after dropping Heather off at the airport. (that was my only time in SF for both Saturday and Sunday)
After the drop off, I went for a run along the San Mateo coast to Coyote Point. Great trail. How did I not know of it?
Turns out they charge a lot for produce at the airport. Everything at the airport is crazy priced. When did they make that decision?

My next stop was down 101 at the IKEA for breakfast. Like to pretend that I am in Sweden.

Next step was the San Jose International Flea Market. 90% of the vendors I would not take anything if it was free. That is how I feel about most stores.
Listened to a country band while an older Asian couple did a bit of a line dance. They looked like they were really enjoying the moment.
Wandered into the corner where they had a guy selling cars. The car I saw was a 2007 Nissan Sentra that was $15000 so I was wondering if he was targeting chumps.
(For the record, KBB is $12500 for a 2007)
On the way out, I stopped off at a junkyard that charged $2 admission. Saw a Nissan Sentra but I could only find one moldy visor.

Next stop was Sports Basement where I wandered into a Team in training event. Sadly they did not have the foam roller I wanted to get Heather. Will also get that trigger point thing.

Went looking for a car wash coupon but I guess I did not have access to a printer. Had a coffee at the Starbucks in San Jose.
Got my car washed for the first time in a long time. Well worth it.
If I spent all day washing my car it would not be as clean.

Went to Hertz Car Sales and they had a ton of Altimas and a couple Prius. Felt more pressure at the Nissan Dealership.

Drove to the OTHER South San Francisco Costco where I got kitty litter and movie passes.

My last stop was in San Bruno to see Moonrise Kingdom. I liked the movie but if you are not a Wes Anderson movie, pass. If you are a fan, go see it.

Trip to the Lake and I do not understand Wicker furniture

Last weekend we took a drive down 101 to go to lake Nacimiento.
When I was in short pants I was aware of Lakes due to family trips (with the rest of Marlton) to Kerr Lake but in recent years my view of a lake was Merced  and I had no idea the massive scale of the this Lake.

I am not going to bore my readers with the account of the steep driveways and the days on the lake or the destruction of the shade thing but rather wondering about the existence of wicker furniture.

I can understand if you lived on some island only where they only have wicker and 7up
I always think that I am sitting on a perilous pile of sticks.

New phones and round about discovering of the best tortila

I really need to wrap all of my gadgets in a lot of bubble wrap as I have been fumbling electronics more than Len Dawson against the San Diego Padres during the Eisenhower era.
Got a new phone. Wonder how long it goes from a magical shiny new phone to a piece of frustrating crap that annoys me. Had my two older phones recycled as I am sure I am not going to be opening a new museum.
Made my way into the city where I wanted to have a Bacon coffee drink but the Pirates and the mutants are simply a radio station so I walked across the street to have the best Dona Tere's Food Market.

New Month New Shoes

I am sure this entry will bore the readers who do not care about 1) running 2) fred containers.
It is a new month (did not run on the 1st as it was a rest day) and I decided to switch my fred containers as the other ones have seen better days. My cross country coach in High School said pay for the running shoes or pay the surgeon.
I will switch these shoes off when I hit the 1000 mile mark sometime in August.
Saw my running droogs as they were finishing their run as I was starting mine. The Guardsman were setting up for some sort of large scale party. A younger version of myself would have gone.
At the beginning of my run felt like had to resolve an issue so I ran to Fort Mason (like their bathrooms on the 2nd floor).
Ran a total of 7 miles to get past my weekly goal.
In the next week will be hitting 5000 miles or the distance from North Carolina to Argentina. My big goal is 12400 miles by December 20th, 2020.
