Social Choices

First off if you are a reader of the greatest blog, you will need to subscribe to the So Anyway podcast so you can have me go blah blah blah about Rocky III and puppets
Best yet if you go to iTunes, look up so anyway Marcus Jason and subscribe and give us a high rating.

This past Saturday was when everyone was celebrating Halloween. At some point, the age that you could no longer celebrate halloween was removed.
Went to a pre-party dressed as Frank Chu.

The idea of going to Broadway on that Saturday night was not appealing due to my guess at the high number of idiots. Chose a party closer to my house with easier parking.
Fun party.

Focus for the next week 1) HFM 2) Salesforce.com Administrator 3) Chemical Engineer/Process Engineers 4) Mechanical Engineer/Hydraulics

Will be starting a new weekly feature where I describe what I am currently searching for as far as current open positions and in what locations.
Each week I will list my five top profiles I am currently looking for and what area I am looking for that skill set.
If you are interested in any of these roles e-mail me directly at marcus@marcusronaldi.com

I have a position in Bentonville, AR doing a large scale HFM deployment. This role requires development skills in HFM.
They will relocate the right candidate for this position

In San Francisco I have a Salesforce.com System Consultant for a company for a startup.

I have a number of positions around the country (Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Iowa, Delaware, Louisiana) for process engineers with a Chemical Engineering background
Many of these positions offer relocation.

Another search I am doing is for mechanical engineers for a background in Hydraulics for a position in Chicago.

"Welcome to San Francisco, hide your valuables"

Was walking around the Fillmore/Japantown area along Webster and I noticed a camper van with all sorts of wild animals painted on it.
Then I noticed that someone was nice enough to smash in the drivers side window.

Saw the vacationers (from South Africa & Australia) who I had to point out that their car was broken into.
Turns out their laptops were stolen. Took one of them to the police station.
Hope they had travel insurance. This bummed me out.

San Francisco should change their tourist logo to "Welcome to San Francisco, hide your valuables"

Had kickball under the lights. Much nicer field.

Greatest Afternoon S N A C K idea EVER!!!

We all know that the best apples are Fuji. (Red Delicious is only good at tossing)
Discovered slicing the apple (best way to eat an apple is slicing) and then sprinkling cinnamon.

Marcus king of Jerks x2

Yesterday morning as I was reading my Kindle and having my green tea with cinnamon on my deck with Asha I noticed one of my neighbors decks was FULL of trash. (catty corner).
So I got the Marcusphone and I took a picture, sent off a letter via electrons to the managers of clown colony describing this transgression.
(this was not the neighbors whose kids liked to dump stuff on their balcony)

The way I won my first jerk medal is that it turned out that the neighbor had died and the family was cleaning out stuff. The deck is now clean...

My second award was when I went to pack and save. For some reason, I had 6 $3 coupons from V8 because of a mis-packed 28 pack that included low sodium and regular.
Bought a bunch of Salsa and V8 (great post run recovery beverage)

Was looking at my bill and I thought I had not gotten the fill value of my coupons so had the cashier review. Turns out I had 3 $3 coupons and 3 $1 coupons.

1100 Miles

Yesterday afternoon I went for a run back and forth along the Marina Green/Presidio for around 7 miles to hit 1100 for the year.
274 miles to hit my revised goal.

It was the perfect temperature, time of day/night and time of year.
Fog was rolling over the Golden Gate Bridge.
The full moon was rising over Fort Mason and sparking on the Bay and I was glad the Railroad was not successful in paving the Bay.

Steve Jobs got me running

As everyone knows, Steve Jobs went to the Keynote event in the Sky.
He had been involved in quite a few amazing things from Breakout, the Mac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone etc but the one invention that had the biggest impact on my life in a weird way ties into the movie forrest gump
I am talking about the Nike + which allowed tracking of runs while listening to music. Provided metrics (distance, pace etc) over time in a great interface.

Started running in 2007 when I was working at Google and I knew I had to do something. So I got an iPod Nano and got back into running.
I had tried to get back into running but with no real way to track I did not stick with it.

But the Nike + user interface and integration with the iPod was so easy. Measure something and it will be done.
(In the movie Forrest Gump, Forrest runs across the country. So far I am close to 4000 miles. In the movie Forrest invests in some sort of fruit company)

Steve Jobs failed A Lot. Got rejected. Did not finish college
Here are some Apple Failures

If you are going to be a success, you will most likely have some mega-failures.

Running and Kindle

Met up with the running group at the Lake. Ran around the Lake and onto Sunset to put me at 44 miles for the week, which is the most since I started keeping track. In perspective, the most I ran in a week prior to this year was 30 and now that is an average. Running puts me into a far better mood.

My plan was to run and then go to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass but was not in a deal with throngs of people mood so I redeemed a Groupon at Guerra's and made lunch. A few years ago I never understood the point of the stand alone meat store next to a safeway but then again I would not question the actual price (or quality) of $1.99 Beef with a 30% coupon.
Will be going back.

My Kindle arrived. The reason I got a Kindle is because years ago, I went to the Beach and met this short legged dog named Tryst.
Once I figured it out I wondered what I was doing with all of these tree books. It was far easier than  the nonsense of laboriously turning pages like a semi-litterate Belgian dirt farmer from the middle ages.
