Greatest Blog 500 Miles.

For some reason they were destroying Doyle Drive. Not really sure why. 
Hit 500 miles for 2012 and 100 miles for April 2012. That is the 15th time in the last 16 months I ran for at least 100 miles in a month. April was a bit off after the half marathon and then the trip to New Orleans. I would not consider New Orleans to be a great running city. 
But I felt much better on Thursday.

Shaking my cane at auto-sharing on social media sites

I get exposed to quite a few interesting articles and resources via social media. Have been a big fan and I will often share things.
What I do not like at all is "auto-sharing".
If I hear an interesting song, I may want to share it but I do not want Spotify to tell everyone that I have been listening to Captain and Tennille in Spanish for the last few hours. Now when I see an article I am taken to a nonsense social reader where they want me to autoshare articles.

8 seconds

Ran the USHalf on Sunday. Was very happy that both sides of the bridge were open as bottlenecks make Marcus grumpy. 
On the way into the city I noticed I did not have my headphones so I was going to run with my thoughts. 

Turned out I beat my best time in a half time by 8 seconds.

In a parallel universe I am in Marin

Turned out that I double booked myself in regards to half marathons this weekend. 
I really need to read the calendar. 

The "Green" Marin county half required a drive up to Marin. I am not a fan of requiring all race participants to make a separate trip to make everyone go through the Expo. 

Considered getting my oil changed but I have not driven enough and the MarcusMobile is good on oil. 
I am going to be bummed when I will need to replace that car. It has served me well.

Interesting how my life has stayed the same from 1999 to the present. When I was 28 I had a cat named Sasha, was dating Heather and I was driving the MarcusMobile (which had a cassette deck at the time)

Undecided about the Marin Half

A while ago I signed up for the Marin half and I am undecided if I am actually going to run the race. 
It is not because of fitness. Ran 11 last Friday. 6 yesterday and 7 today (very spooky & hilly) but I do not want to make a separate trip to Marin to pick up number. (I think I can get a proxy) but talking to some people I run with, it sounds the actual course and organization may be a big pain in the ass.
