Race

Yesterday I hit my goal of running 110 miles in eight weeks with six days to spare.
Considering I missed five days to being under the weather I was happy.

So I set a new goal which is 287 miles in sixteen weeks or 2.8 miles per day.
Having a goal is important for motivation. When I would try to run I would have no idea how far I was going and would often over estimate the distance in my head.

I picked 287 miles because the next virtual ribbon I get from Nike comes at the 500 mile mark. Getting the shirts at races also motivates me.

I am thinking of employing a large army of zombies to get me to run faster but I am not sure if they would want to run during the day and I do not like running at night.

Yesterday I had lunch with Alison Steward. Her life is kind of like the Neil Diamond song "I am I said" or the Gladys Knight song "Midnight Train to Georgia" as she is thinking about going back to New York. Being in Limbo is not fun (but also a Jimmy Cliff song)

After opposite of fred I got a call from Jeff and somehow I knew he was in Menlo Park because he said he was on Middlefield Road. (Long road that goes through a number of towns). It took me FOREVER to get from Belmont to Menlo Park and I was kind of getting grumpy which some people find funny. It took me about two hours to get there.

Jeff and I went into Walgreens and the opposite of fred did not believe we are brothers as I was much darker. Perhaps what I was told as a child is true. Maybe they saw the unreleased Star Wars movies before I was born.

In 1983 Jeff and I got lost on our way to Virginia Beach. It took us about twelve hours. I guess this would not happen as we have cell phones and real directions.
We discussed all of the odd characters in the Marlton of the 1970's and 1980's. I think the population at large is odd.
I also think Upper Marlboro was kind of isolated. We were not a big fancy town like Bowie or Waldorf.

Thought about my toil selling Newspaper Ads for the Bowie Blade and the Maryland Independent.
