Cryptozoology Chupacabra & Bigfoot

Is it just me or are there way too many Cryptozoology stories in the mainstream media?
It is like World News Weekly has taken over CNN. I have searched for Big Foot in the 1970's (I was at the most 9) and did not find him. Looking back, I am not sure what I would have done.

I am also undecided about seeing the Clone Wars Cartoon. It may be with the Holiday special or the Droids TV Show.
