10K & Kickball opening day

I had signed up for the 10 Mile race but between donating blood and other things weighing heavily on my mind I thought it would be prudent to do the 10K. I saw a tree.

Feeling far better than last Tuesday or Thursday but I am not a fan of running over the Golden Gate Bridge. For some reason I always feel like my legs are made of molten lead and I am running in a sea of erasers.  But all in all I did OK.

The song, "The Night the Lights Went out in Georgia" is FULL of really stupid people. If you come across a dead body, why would you get someone's attention by firing shots? 

I must say that the Guardsman put on a great post race spread. Good beer. Now my rule for drinking beer is that it cannot advertise during the Super Bowl. 

If you are looking for a way to cut down on spending, leave your wallet at home. I had about $8 and I went to the beer store to buy a couple cans of "proper beer" as I could guess the rest of the league will be enjoying swill. 

It was opening day for kickball and I was happy with the game.
