Alone with my thoughts....

As a storm is a brewing and I was scheduled for a run to get to my 1000 mile so I got my running kit on and hit the pavement.
Here is the tragedy. Somehow my iPod reset which meant I had no tunes. I had to run over five miles and be alone with my thoughts. I could hear my breathe, my freds hitting the pavement, my thoughts on my made of woodness.
My next run is Saturday in the city and I will stop off and get my tunes back on so I will not be sad. I actually finished in good time and more importantly dry as it did not start raining. People in California are very concerned as they are made of brown sugar and/or are the wicked witch of the East or West (one got landed on but she may also be impacted by the bucket of water...) 

Now I am in Palo Alto with Raider and Brando, the very silly labs. It is raining so I think Milli Vanilla will be blame it on the rain. I am supposed to dine with Katie Alton but I forgot my cell phone at toiling (I think...) so I will need to figure out how to communicate this situation. In most cases, this is not an issue. 

In the Palo Alto Apple store and I saw two Standard Poodles but happily I had my camera. So far I have seen FIVE standards in the past week. That means things will be going well.
