Marlton/Elvis/Ice Cubes/1970's/Star Wars/Politics/Buses

A few weeks ago I started a Facebook group for people that lived in Marlton in the 1970's and 1980's.
So far 88 people have signed up.

One of those that signed up was David Ridings who listed among his memories of Marlton
1) A Blizzard and Chris Hanburger saving the day
2) Learning Hockey from a washington Capital
3) and me running around a tree (Weeping Willow)

I remember when he would sell me Ice Cubes and when Elvis dies his Mom was upset.

At lunch I went to an action figure store. I asked the guy at the store how many Star Wars Prequel Senator action figures they sold.
Then I was surprised that Biggs Darklighter had more than one action figure.

At this point the guy at the store got annoyed and said, "You obviously do not know anything about Star Wars" to which I challenged his idea. He then revised it that I did not know about the action figures.
I told him I got Boba Fett in the mail in 1979. I doubt he was a big Marcus fan.

Was at the Light the Night event for Team in Training. They had way too many volunteers so I split. When I got to Temple Bar I remembered, O this is why I never go to nightclubs.
I have never seen a political debate with a shout out. This is not even allowed when you call into the Howard Stern Show.

Took the bus to the Urban Diversion house to pick up my Oktonerfest tickets as I will be hanging out with a Beagle.
