Pot Luck
They are a couple of activities that are common in an office environment that I find perilous.
One is the signing of the birthday card. First off my bad opposite of fred writing is exposed. Second, I have NO idea what to say that makes sense.
Second are pot luck lunches. It always makes me think of John Nash bringing a bag of doughnuts and everyone wondering why he is so cheap.
During the Darjeeling Limited I remembered that we had a scheduled Pot Luck lunch so I had to go to the IGA (No, I did not fly to BWI and then cab it to Deale) where I got strawberries, Chocolate Dip and Pumpkin Tarts. As I had to bring my crap down to my car, I wanted items that could sleep in the trunk of the Marcusmobile.
This morning I drag my stuff to the Marcusmobile and I cannot find my satellite receiver. My iPod was in the trunk of the car and no CD's so I was thinking that I would have to drive from the Richmond District in San Francisco to Santa Clara while either sitting in complete silence OR far worse, listening to poor people radio. Luckily I found it stuck in the seat so I was able to listen to Howard Stern. They did not have a commercial break until I was in Sunnyvale and then I switched to 101 (while on the 101!).
Back to the whole thing about the pot luck, many of my fellow toilers did not remember so they are going to some of the surrounding places. I wish they would open Trader Joes close to here.
