Descendants

Yesterday I remembered that I had a movie pass that was going to expire but 2011 (and so far 2012) has been an uninspiring year for movies. 
Decided to see The Descendants and it was not fun time at the movies.
It was well written, well acted from a director I like and written by the Dean on Community but it bummed me out to no end. 

Any movie where the Mom slowly dies will be difficult to watch. 

Walking to the car I noticed the Starbucks near the theater had shut down, how does a Starbucks go out of business?

The Price of cigars in South San Francisco on Presidents Day 2012

The Price is $.49
If someone wanted that specific bit of information, the cost of cigars in South San Francisco on Presidents Day and they put that in the Google they would come to the Greatest Blog. 
On my way back to Daly City and I stopped in South San Francisco. Saw a couple of ne'er-do-well milling about on Grand Avenue. Thought they had their idea on the Marcusmobile which is turning 15. What is the definition of a classic car 
A gentleman walked out of a dinner expressing delight that his cigar was not stolen by the two ne'er-do-wells. He then explained to me (without prompt) that the cigars are $.49 at the store down the way. 

Later in the day my next door neighbor was having some sort of long winded argument about the rock salt resulting from ice cream making. Makes me want to retreat to Walden.

Wednesday Flowers with Poodles

After toiling I left my place and for some odd reason I went to a car dealership to toy with the idea of getting a Nissan Leaf and that is clearly not ready until I have at least one bottle episode planned per day (100 mile range + 21 hour charge time) 
Not the time for the Marcusmobile. 
When the Mile range is 200 and the charge time, 10 hours and you are paying a $5000 premium then Marcusmobile 2.0 

Went to the Dollar store for cleaning supplies but purchased red vines.

On the way to an odd spot in South San Francisco I stop off at a Colma flower stop. Good thing I clarified the recipients for the flowers are above ground. Legitimate question in Colma. Saw they had standard poodles but was not able to pet. 

Ran five miles in South San Francisco for the 2nd time in the new shoes. Heather will be faster than me soon.

Recorded the 18th episode of the podcast, nom nom nom on cookies. 

Went to AlphaBar, Dr No is a knockoff of Austin Powers even though it came out first.

A Good Sunday

Despite having a cold and being really sore, not winning the Superbowl pool, going to a Vietnamese place and briefly blaming a pair of Doctors for stealing my phone yesterday was a damn good day. 
Had a good night sleep thanks to the good folks at NyQuils and then slept walked my way through the Kaiser half six minutes faster than my time last year.
Hobbled my way back to the car and we met up with a couple of Doctors that were trying to catch a ride in the Sunset. For those of you outside of San Francisco, that is a losing bet. 
Dropped them off near the Hospital and then had lunch at a vietnamese place that did not have fresh spring rolls. 
When I got home I could not find my phone and briefly blamed the doctors before finding it in my bag.
