5 Hours and 5 Minutes in 2007 and no addition to my pie chart for 2007....

Pineapple

So yesterday I had two meals with Keri and Phillip. Was happy they switched their tickets to the Patton Oswalt show to the later show (I should have gotten a ticket to the earlier show as I am NOT a night owl.)

Maybe I could be some early morning super hero. I think I would be a smashing throwing super hero like the Hulk or the Thing. This morning I went into toiling and I was actually excited because I knew that I would experience light traffic and I would be able to put the hammer down on the Marcusmobile.
I was shocked at the number of mentions of the Marcusmobile
http://www.google.com/search?q=marcusmobile&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=4f3&start=40&sa=N

I also like seeing traffic back up but due to my extensive knowledge of alternate routes I can by pass everything and be on my way to make popcorn or consider buying a vacuum cleaner. Before the show, I went to Safeway and I got 1) Catfood 2) popcorn for the Mac Hine 3) Vitamins that were 50% off that did not have Anna Nicole Smith on them (go to a drug store and look for Trim Spa, then be weirded out...)

Dinner at Kennedys was good (and fairly cheap as I had a coupon) and they were no police incidents. The opposite of fred dryer was jet powered.

The Washington Redskins made it to the playoffs so next week they will be playing the expansion Seatle Seahwaks (Jim Zorn, Steve Largent and company) in Seattle. If I did not have to dog sit Raider and Brando I would jump into the Marcusmobile and pay for the tickets and sleep in my car under a bridge. If it turns out that the game is on television, then I will probably pass on the whole drive to Seattle. Honestly I would rather hang out with Raider and Brando and get a Doggie Reception. If dogs could steal pineapples and show up at your toil they would.

I was going to photoshop a picture of Jeff giving a Pineapple to Joe Gibbs and then putting him in the story ALA Dad at Sears. As a goof I was going to call Jeff during the Cowboys game.
Andrea is also happy as she does not have to deal with the crowds for at least next Sunday (or Saturday).

Keri know wants to go slumming at Grocery Outlet which is the B O M B.
http://www.groceryoutlets.com/
Once I explain the beauty of the Grocery Outlet as it is like prospecting. Sometimes you get mud, sometimes you get Chimay..

I should totally open up one in Daly City! Daly City is a made of town in a great location. The stores and such are well Bourgeoisie with their Ross and their Circuit City and their Boston Market.

The Patton Oswalt show was good despite the extra ticket. In the queue met this adorable woman (who had a Boyfriend) who had this quirky sense of humor. She runs a website where people rant about things.

Am wearing my new Mephistos which are quite nice.

Quite a few people have said that I should be a "character actor". As I am not really willing to do the starving artist or community theater routine but if you are a film maker and you are well paying above scale and you need someone to be in your movie film then I may be interested.

I am annoyed by the growth of bank branches in the city. Those places make me sad especially when I see frumpy women wearing denim with a sign that says, "they were allowed to dress casual because they donated money..." I do like going into banks and getting $2 bills so I could be the guy who pays for things with a $2 bill.

Went to Bed Bath and Beyond as I had a coupon for 20% off. It seems the whole store is full of people with those coupons. Anyway I get a new vacuum cleaner.
The shopping center was full of teenagers littering and spitting.

Rain

This is they entry mostly for Saturday. It was a very rainy cold day. Ran 3.21 moles. Was planning on a longer run but raining in the rain in Daly City is kind of sort of made of wood.
Well the bar of the weather was low, so I do not know if you can say, "under the weather..." more of on par with the weather!!

After the run I went into the city and stopped off at Beverages And More to pick up a bottle of Absinthe as it is now legal.

Went to watch the Penn State bowl game but it was damn crowded. Gave directions to a number of tourists.

This may be shocking but I am watching a Zune commercial. Microsoft is a solid number two in a number of businesses.

Stopped off at Bed Bath and Beyond to get a popcorn Mac Hine.

(Sunday afternoon went running without a rest day and my legs are sore...)

A Trip to the East Bay

One of the best connected and most positive people I know was having a brunch in Emeryville.

For a much better back story read his blog...

Here is a question, is it possible to 1/3 German? I figured 37.5 percent is possible but all you math wizards out there work it out.
Drove with Joyce and somehow the address for the place was not on Google maps.

Sat down with Cristin Hallissy and Amy (of Walnut Creek...) Spoke of my time at Shaolin Temple when NASA wanted me to train for a martial arts tournament on the moon. Used chopsticks to eat soup because I am skilled like that.

As I am a man of refined tastes we went to Grocery Outlet because I like keeping it real.

Confiscation leads to excuse to buy lotions/potions

I left INSANELY early from the compound. God bless Big Tom as he had ever right to grumble!
Made a plate of food and put in redneck tupperware (cool whip) but left it on the counter.

Got to Kansas City which has the STUPIDEST layout so I was feeling peckish and was not able to locate the steakhouse. (thumbs down)
Had to go through Security and they confisicated my shaving lotion which means....

BOXING DAY at http://usa.loccitane.com/FO/Default.aspx?cm_mmc=

On my way to dog sit Raider and Brando.

Chimay on Christmas Eve...

Belgium Beer is the best.
If you are thinking, I need to give Marcus a gift please add Belgium Beer (like Chimay, not Stella) to that list alongside Thorlos.

It is Christmas Eve in Maryland at the compound with the 'Rents, the Cherubs and the 'Sibs and the Doggies.
Spent a good amount of time on the dock with Cosmo.

Also walked to Blockbuster and the IGA where I pretended to forget my bags. Was not involved with picking out the movies. (I think Borat was very funny, but not a compound flick.....)

Belgium Beer is the best.

Yesterday the Redskins won which brought balance and peace to the world.

An Ordinary Hamburger

First off the mighty Washington Redskins are 8 and 7. I may paint my face and drive around in a car with the Redskins colour.

In lieu of going to New York we went en mass to Washington DC. When I go places it is not unusual for me to order a hamburger with grilled vegetables as a good cook can deliver this simple meal with spark and pizzazz. The place we went was well, not that place. Like the places on Pier 39 it was not a culinary adventure but a true example of the whole view/revolving rule.
In fact the Zagat review they had posted said, "you are paying for the view"

Walked around Georgetown and went into a sports bar to watch some of the games.
Had Tory pick out cave prizes for Carly and Alley. Works out way better.

Caused a bit of a ruckus on the metro looking for Tommy and Lynn and Carley.

Quest for a proper pie

The original plan made this part of the quest rather simple, a proper slice of Pizza.
One that I would say, this is one of the best slices I have ever had outside of Google (they make great Roman Style Pizzas)

Well we are not going to the Big Apple due to Amtrak not wanting to give my family proper passage so no Darjling Limited type train adventure. We are going en masse to New Carrolton and taking the Metro. (we will end up going to Joes or buying frozen from the once IGA...)

Tom, Lynn, Andrea, Alley and I took the rental car to the Edgewater Safeway and out of made of woodness/practice I chatted up the homely baristas at the Starbucks.

Jefferson Airplane brought crabs but he had to park his car in a back alley to strengthen his position. Some were full some were empty shells but all in all good.

Posted on Yelp to find the best Pizza in DC.

Could go on for pages about yesterday which was VERY eventful. We met old characters (the guy from the Dollar Store and the Hardware Store who were connected by a broken Noel sign to the most depressed Subway worker in the history of the world....) plus I ended up having to haul around a bottle of chimay.

Had a whole load of pictures from the past and I will share them with you including the time I wore a gold star when I bombed on a tc quiz shoe in 1980.
Had a combination retirement (for Big Tom) and Birthday Cake (for ME) which was like the song Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder sang...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZtiJN6yiik
I wonder if Stevie Wonder hates making music videos.

(sometimes, I keep in typing errors because its funnier...)
-This entry could be VERY long...
